Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn Searched for for 'The Revenant'

Because Leonardo DiCaprio is not attached and/or wanted for enough roles in Hollywood, Deadline reviews that director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu wants DiCaprio for 'The Revenant,' where he'd star like a frontiersman hellbent on revenge. Inarritu also wants Sean Penn for that film, which concentrates on Hugh Glass (DiCaprio), a 1820s fur trapper who will get mauled with a bear to such extremes he can't even get moved from the forest for help. He employs two males to remain with him (Penn would play one) -- who quickly double-mix Glass and then leave him to die. Spoiler: he does not, and heads on an outing of retribution. DiCaprio and Penn only have talked with Inarritu, so there is nothing occur stone 'The Revenant,' in line with the novel by Michael Punke, is placed to shoot next fall.
