Magnolia's Magnet Delivering Builds up 'God Bless America'

Magnolia Pictures' genre arm Magnet Delivering has acquired the earth delivering rights to God Bless America, the Bobcat Goldthwait-directed comedy. The film opened up Friday evening at TIFF's Evening time Madness sidebar which is Magnet's second pick-in the festival after yesterday's acquisition of Goon, the hockey comedy starring Seann William Scott and Jay Baruchel. God Bless America remains known to as Great Killer meets Idiocracy and follows a man with no cent left to eliminate who teams tabs on a 16-years of age and continues a killing spree to off who he sights the stupidest people of society. Starring Joel Murray and Tara Lynn Barr, the pic can be a Darko Entertainment production written and directed by Goldthwait) and produced by Sean McKittrick and Rob Culotta. The film will be the second team-up between Goldthwait, Darko and Magnolia/Magnet the trio released Goldthwait's World's Finest Father this past year. Magnet is arranging a 2012 theatrical release through Magnolia's Ultra VOD program. Preferred Content handled the acquisition in the film. Magnolia Worldwide is handling worldwide sales in the film.
